Hey there! I'm MonstEva - or Eva for short - a young aspiring manga artist that holds a large amount of passion towards art.
Creating a career out of not only art but of manga is something I have always seeked to do. Inspiring others, and to connect with the art that I produce, and to convey a message through such outlets and forms of creativity that can resonate throughout a variety of individuals.
Especially as a young black woman, I want to push the boundaries of the perception and assumptions of society with what I am able to achieve within the manga world, and to accomplish my dream of becoming a manga artist.
I will continue to use this opportunity to further allow myself to encourage and uplift others, with pursuing their dreams and aspirations, no matter what!
From a young age, I have always loved anime and reading manga. From the use of colours, cinematic language, unique and quite distinctive styles, and narratives that can emerge from this form of storytelling, is what absorbed me into it.
Manga - in particular - holds a special meaning to me personally. To some, it can be seen as a "style of Japanese comics and graphic novels aimed towards a range of ages", but to me, it is what the artist does to create life behind the story itself.
From the many characters that you can relate to, from the message motivating you within different aspects of your life, to having the excitement of waiting with what more is yet to come - and finally - bringing you through a journey of emotions which includes everyone - no matter who you are - is what I want to implement into my stories and art.
